Precious Lee is one of the most recognizable curve models in the world.
So it might surprise you that she was once told she’d never be a “high fashion girl”—that her body and her Blackness would relegate her to the sidelines. She refused to listen. She kept her name, her body, and her vibe intact, flipping an industry that said no into an industry scrambling to catch up.
From Atlanta roots to Clark Atlanta University to breaking barriers as the first Black curve model in Sports Illustrated, Precious turned “not possible” into “watch me work.” The loss of her sister at a young age gave her a sharp sense of urgency and purpose. For her, this wasn’t just about fashion. It was about who gets to be seen as powerful, beautiful, and desirable—and she made damn sure the answer included her.
That 2016 Sports Illustrated debut was more than a milestone; it was a cultural shift still reverberating today. When Versace sent her down the runway in 2020, they proved luxury fashion could no longer ignore size diversity. Savage X Fenty only amplified her influence, placing her at the center of a brand built on unapologetic sensuality and radical inclusivity.
